For a bedside or mirror, mount the sconce so the center sits around 60–66″ from the floor (roughly eye level). Flanking a bed, space a pair to frame the headboard evenly; flanking a mirror, keep them just outside the glass. Because it's slim and vertical, it reads beautifully on narrow wall runs where a wide fixture would feel cramped.

The Beaded Aurelle Alabaster Orb Wall Sconce began with a simple, tactile image: a string of glowing beads resting against the wall. Four spheres of natural stone hang down a slender metal stem, each one carved by hand, each one lit softly from within — like a strand of luminous pearls, or a row of small moons descending in a quiet vertical rhythm. There's no shade, no ornament, no clutter. Just the stem, the stone, and the glow.

That vertical line is the whole idea. Instead of spreading sideways like most fixtures, Aurelle draws the eye downward in a slow, graceful cadence — made for the tall, narrow walls a wide sconce would only crowd. Lit, each orb turns warm and honeyed, casting a soft halo on the wall behind; unlit, they rest as pale alabaster beads against the metal, sculptural even in daylight. It's decorative and calming at once.

Yes. Every orb is carved from genuine natural alabaster — never resin, glass, or acrylic. Because it's real stone, each orb has its own veining and slight color variation, which is the mark of authenticity, not a defect.

What finishes does the metal come in?

The stem, caps, and wall backplate come in three finishes — brass, black, and nickel. Each is a warm or matte tone rather than a mirror one, so it sits quietly with the stone and hides fingerprints instead of collecting them.

Does it come with a bulb? Do I need to replace it?

The light uses an integrated LED at a warm white, so there's no bulb to buy, fit, or ever replace — just hardwire it and switch on. It works with a common wall switch (Please contact us if you require a dimmable version.).

Will it be too bright or glary?

No. Light spreads inside each orb rather than shooting straight through, so you get a soft amber glow with no visible hotspot — comfortable to sit beside and to look at directly.

Can I use it in a bathroom?

It's rated IP20 — damp-rated for dry indoor locations only. It's not waterproof, so while it suits a well-ventilated bathroom away from water, it should not be installed where it may be splashed or exposed to steam, such as directly over a shower or tub.

Will the stone yellow or fade?

Natural alabaster keeps its color for decades and won't yellow under the light or give off odors — unlike acrylic, which yellows and scratches with age.

How do I clean it?

Wipe both the orbs and the metal gently with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid water, harsh chemicals, and abrasive pads — alabaster is a porous natural stone.
