The Tamsin Capsule Alabaster Rod Pendant hangs capsules of natural alabaster from rigid metal rods in a dark bronze finish — each one capped by a domed fitting, joined by a small sphere, and finished with a tiny finial beneath the stone. Available as a single pendant, or as a 3-light or 6-light cluster on a round ceiling plate with the rods cut to staggered lengths.
The rods are the whole argument. Almost every cluster chandelier hangs on cords, and a cord does what a cord does — it twists, it swings when a door opens, and over a year the careful stagger you set on installation day drifts quietly out of alignment. A rod cannot. The heights are cut before it ships and they stay exactly where they were put, which is why a rod cluster reads as engineered while a cord cluster reads as arranged. The trade-off is honest: the lengths are decided at the time of order, not on site.
No two pieces of stone are ever the same
Alabaster is a natural stone, so every piece carries its own veining and subtle variation in color. The fixture you receive may therefore differ slightly from the images shown.
The versions on this page go up to 15 MAX HEADS, which suits most rooms. It is not a limit. A cluster is simply more of the same cone on more of the same cord — so if your table is longer or your stairwell taller, tell us the count you want and we'll make it.
This is the one thing to settle before you order. Nearly every cluster pendant hangs on cords you shorten on installation day. This one does not. The rods are cut at our workshop and cannot be adjusted on site — so the drop has to be right before it leaves us. Send us your ceiling height and what sits underneath and we will confirm the lengths before anything is cut.
The LED is part of the fixture, running at warm white 3000K. Nothing to source and nothing to match between capsules — but it also means you cannot make it dimmable afterwards by changing a bulb. A dimmable version is available and has to be specified at the time of order; (Please contact us if you require a dimmable version.)
This cluster grows downward. From three lights to fifteen the width barely doubles — but the drop nearly triples. Your ceiling height decides this, not your table.
The only version that works in an ordinary room. Order the rod length with your ceiling height.
Nearly five feet of drop already — measure before you assume it fits.
Six and a half feet down. Taller than most people are.
Over eight feet. This is a void piece, not a room piece.
Almost ten feet of fixture. Plan lift access for installation.
Identical footprint to the 9-head. The only thing that changes is the fall.
Thirteen feet of fixture on a plate under two feet across. Commercial scale.
Which is the whole reason this one is built the harder way.
Hang a cluster on cords and something happens that nobody warns you about. On installation day the heights are set carefully, one at a time, from a ladder — and it looks exactly right. Then a year passes. A door slams and the cords swing. Someone brushes past and one shade turns to face a different way. A cord takes a slow twist it never quite comes out of. Nothing dramatic, nothing you could point to on any given morning, and yet the arrangement you paid for is quietly no longer the arrangement you have.
Tamsin hangs on rigid rods. They do not swing, they do not twist, and they do not drift. The stagger is cut into the fixture before it leaves the workshop, and it stays exactly there for as long as the piece is on the ceiling — the same on the day it is installed, the same in ten years. It is the difference between a cluster that reads as arranged and one that reads as engineered.
The honesty of it is that this cuts both ways. A rod cannot be shortened on installation day the way a cord can. The drop has to be decided before we cut, which means one measurement matters more here than on anything else we make. We would rather say that plainly than let it be discovered on a ladder — and it is exactly the same rigidity that keeps the piece where it was put.

A closed capsule glows rather than shines down. These two put light where a glowing object can't — on the wall, and in the corner.
Wall mounted · Indoor dry rooms
Ribbed stone against smooth capsules — the same material with a different surface. A wall light washes light sideways, which is exactly what a stairwell needs at the height people actually walk.
Floor standing · Plug in
A tall stone column standing where a rod cluster hangs — the same vertical line, brought down to the floor. It plugs in, so no electrician, no holes and nothing cut to length in advance.

Statement lighting should feel visually balanced with the room rather than simply filling empty ceiling space. Use these recommendations as a starting point, then consider ceiling height, furniture dimensions and the visual weight of the fixture.
Send us your room measurements, ceiling height, installation photo and preferred design. Refrovulet can review the scale, hanging height and possible configuration before you order.
| Space | Recommended Type | Simple Size Direction |
|---|---|---|
| Dining Room | Chandelier / Linear Chandelier | Relate fixture width to the dining table rather than the entire room. Linear designs often suit longer rectangular tables. |
| Kitchen Island | Linear Pendant / Multiple Pendants | Keep the lighting visually inside the island length and allow comfortable sightlines around the fixture. |
| Two-Story Foyer | Statement / Cascade Chandelier | Taller spaces can support greater vertical scale. Consider both viewing height and the lowest point of the fixture. |
| Staircase | Cascade / Multi-Light Chandelier | Select a configuration that relates to the stairwell height and remains visually balanced from multiple levels. |
| Bedroom | Pendant / Chandelier / Wall Sconce | Use a softer scale and avoid placing suspended fixtures where they interfere with circulation. |
| Bathroom / Vanity | Wall Sconce | Position around the mirror and face height. Confirm the fixture rating before use in damp locations. |
