The design

Is the shade real alabaster?

Yes — each twisted shade is cut and hand-ground from genuine natural alabaster stone, never resin or acrylic. Because it's real stone, every shade has its own veining and slight color variation. That means yours won't look exactly like the photos — and that's the point. It's the mark of a real, one-of-a-kind piece, not a defect.

Is it plug-in or hardwired?

It's hardwired — it mounts to a standard wall junction box, with no plug or cord showing. If you're comfortable with basic wiring it's straightforward; otherwise any electrician can install it in minutes. Always turn off the power at the breaker first.

What bulb does it take? Can I dim it?

It takes a standard G9 bulb (Max 40W) — you can fit an LED or a vintage Edison bulb to suit your look. For the warmest glow through the stone, we suggest a warm-white bulb around 2700–3000K. (Please purchase dimmable bulbs if dimming functionality is required.)

How bright is it, and will it glare?

We ship natural stone every day, so it's packed to survive the journey. Each shade is secured in thick, custom-cut foam inside a reinforced box, with the hardware wrapped separately to prevent scratches. If anything does arrive damaged in transit, message us with a photo and we'll make it right — a replacement or refund, no hassle.

How do I clean it?

Wipe it gently with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid water, harsh chemicals, and abrasive pads — alabaster is a porous natural stone, so gentle dusting is all it needs to keep its warm character for years.
